Come and try the class and meet the teachers.
A fun and creative movement-based class, designed specifically to address the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease.
With support of Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and The Octagon Theatre, classes are led by a team of two specially trained, friendly teachers, using the Parkinson’s Dance Science model - a marriage of physio- therapy and creative dance. Classes feature a variety of dance styles, focusing on: posture, strength, coordination, balance, creativity, suppleness and most of all, fun!
Participants will be supported throughout with seated and standing options, plus time to chat over a free cup of tea or coffee at the end of every session.

Free Parking. Step-free access. A carer / partner / friend is welcome to attend with you for free.
Classes are part of the Octagon Theatre’s Arts Engagement & Outreach programme. The Parkinson Dance Science Model was co-founded by Neuro-Physiotherapist Dr Sophia Hulbert and Dance Artist Aimee Hobbs with support from Pavilion Dance South West.
All bookings are subject to a £2 transaction Fee.
A £2 transaction fee has been introduced to all bookings from Monday 20 November 2023. The income from this transaction fee will be used to support Somerset Council in providing an Arts and Entertainment Service for the county.
